I have been taking pictures of my products for over 10 years now and you know what - product photography is really an art form in its self! I love taking photos, so the journey to discover my style and how to create stunning product photos has been enjoyable.
Maybe you don't want to or don't have the time to put into product photography. Small business owners always have too many hats to wear! Maybe it is time to give up doing everything and let someone with experience help you out.
When you are small it does seem like an expense that wouldn't be worth it, but in the age of online shopping, social media, and even image search, your photos really need to be top notch to stand out. So obviously your product photos will be used on your website, Shopify, Etsy, Amazon Handmade, etc for your product selling, but these same photos can be converted for use in your social media marketing like Instagram posts, Pinterest pins, Facebook ads, blog posts, and more. And you can also use them in print - flyers, catalogs, business cards, the list goes on. So really you would have to look at it as an investment.
Can you read all the how to's and become your own expert? Sure. But it will take time. Time that could be better spent doing the million other things that need to be done. I can also tell you (as I did spend a lot of time reading tutorials on product photography), not one of those ways really improved my photos. Lots and lots of practice did.
1) We discuss what you are looking for in the photos (just product shots, lifestyle shots, styled photos) and their end use.
2) You get the product to me. If you are in the Chicagoland area, you can drop it off. If not, you can mail your product to me with an included return postage label.
3) I take the photos, edit, and email them to you for approval before shipping back your product.
